Heath Nash’s illuminating take on “other people’s rubbish”

Other People’s Rubbish” is Heath Nash’s collection of flowery constructs, all made from plastics on their way to the dump. Their light-heartedness is merely the fizz in a cocktail of environmental ethics, social awareness, design philosophy and talent. Carefully cut from bottles and other offal by Nash’s staff of 5 fulltime and about as many part time helpers, individual shapes are linked to a wire armature to form these lovely spheres. He’s become a bit of a design star since his first professional showing in 2004. At only 32 years old, who knows what this Cape Town resident will dream of next.
