It features a rich prism of solid colors that include cool blues and rich purples as well as pinks, oranges, and a touch of yellow. These are arranged in a delightful zigzag fashion.
Memories of Monet
Also by Joen Wolfrom Designs, this depicts an exquisite stained glass window. It is suitable for beginners with some prior quilting experience. This simple and easy pieced design features two-block quilts. They’re made from easy triangles and squares. The pattern has instructions for three sizes—a wall hanging, coverlet, and a twin bed quilt.
On the Road Again
This is part of the Legacy Quilts series by Ricky Tims. He received a Best of Show for this design. This clever quilt is made from easy squares and large triangles. It is recommended for anyone with some quilting experience. This exquisite design features instructions for two sizes (wall/twin and double/queen).
It is made from five solids and prints in a range of lights and darks. The designer started with the Road to St. Louis pattern and rearranged the blocks so that the light colored ones swirl around the darker colors. The borders are dark blue and red.
The Ninepatchers-A Family Reunion
This design is part of the Giggle Leaps quilt series by Mickey Depre. This appliqué pattern is suitable for those with some prior quilting experience. It features a list of fabrics and supplies for a 33 by 40½ inch wall hanging.
The beige batik center is appliquéd with Depre’s whimsical, bug-eyed, gangly, misshapen Ninepatchers. They’re enjoying themselves greatly as they gather for a group photo. The outer pieced borders are made with easy squares. There is also an inner border of green batik.
All of these JWD quilt patterns feature a fabric chart and cutting charts for each size along with layouts and placement charts. There are easy to follow, illustrated instructions from start to finish. These contain full size templates. The designers also include in-depth tips on choosing fabrics.
